Happy Holidays from the Langley Board of Education

December 18, 2023

As we approach the holiday season, the Board of Education would like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we have been on over the last 12 months. It’s hard to believe the Board has been together for a full calendar year, but what a year it has been!

The Board has been working on building strong relationships with students, staff, families and all the stakeholders who play important roles in helping shape our school community. As always, we are focused on our students, and once again this year we are amazed by all that they have achieved. As trustees, we are focused on ways to further support our students and are excited with the many initiatives we have in our District, including implementing the province’s Feeding Futures program in our schools. Helping to nourish our students during the school day is a testament to the positive impact we have in supporting the broader community.

Our goal is to ensure that every student and staff member feels a sense of belonging and knows they have a valued place within our District. This sense of community is at the heart of what makes our District. Thank you to everyone for your continued work in supporting the District’s efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our schools.

As we come together to celebrate the holiday season, let us carry the spirit of unity, gratitude, and hope into the coming year. We value each and every one of you and look forward to continuing our shared journey toward excellence in education and community well-being.

On behalf of the Langley Board of Education, we wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season and a happy New Year!
