Student Referrals
- Student Referrals - SD35 staff who work with students and would like to refer them to SD35 Career Education staff. Please refer all students and career questions either to the Career Advisor on site or by email to careered@sd35.bc.ca.
We will use this information to arrange appointments, visits, and follow-up information for students and their families. Thank you for supporting students as you discover their career interests!

- Career Trek has created hundreds of videos to help students learn about careers in BC. Real workers in BC are interviewed at their places of work and discuss what their job is about, the skills required and salary. Each video is only 3-5 minutes long – a great “hook” to start each class!
- SkilledTradesBC regulates the trades in BC. See their list of trades here
- Talk To Our Kids About Money – Canadian based (sponsored by Bank of Nova Scotia) content to help parents and teachers learn about personal finance
- What do you do? – Showcases different careers in 6-12 minute episodes with the goal of helping students decide which career paths they want to follow after high school.
- Work BC’s Career Guide for Indigenous People is specifically targeted at developing the careers of Indigenous people in BC
- Work BC’s Explore Careers page allows people to search by job title, education or salary to learn about what an occupation does, education required, employment prospects, and more.
- Work BC’s Career Discovery Quizzes will recommend specific occupations based on the results of the quiz
