At Walnut Grove Secondary School, we respectfully acknowledge that we learn and work on the traditional, unceded, and ancestral territories of the Katzie and Kwantlen First Nations.

Walnut Grove Secondary is a dual-track (English and French Immersion) comprehensive secondary school serving students in Grades 8–12. With more than 2,200 students, we are proud to be one of the largest secondary schools in British Columbia. Our size allows us to offer a diverse range of programs, opportunities, experiences, and supports that help students discover their strengths, pursue their passions, and prepare for successful futures.

As the “Home of the Gators”, our motto, Together, We Learn, reflects our belief that learning is a shared responsibility. Learning flourishes when students, staff, families, and community members work together to create a culture of belonging, engagement, and excellence.

One of the defining strengths of WGSS is our culture of collective ownership. Staff collaborate to continuously improve instruction and assessment practices, students are encouraged to engage fully in school life, and families are valued partners in supporting learner success.
