Secondary school registration - Online registration through MyED BC will open on Monday, January 5 for students wishing to enroll in grades 9 to 12 for the 2026/27 school year and for any students wishing to enroll in grade 8 who do not currently attend one of our six elementary feeder schools. Families wishing to submit a cross-boundary application for their child must register with their catchment school using the online registration in MyED BC and submit all application documents (see list below) to wgss@sd35.bc.ca (or in person) for their cross-boundary application. Students will not be placed on the waitlist until all documents have been received, and the registration is complete. French Immersion registration – Families wishing to apply for the French Immersion program should submit all application documents by email to wgss@sd35.bc.ca.  Online registration is not currently available for the French Immersion program. Students who are currently in the French Immersion program at one of our elementary feeder schools in Walnut Grove do not need to register.

Registrations received after February 17, 2026, may not have a placement in your catchment school because of space limitations – please register online as soon as possible. Registrations must include the following documentation:

  • Proof of Child’s Age (one of the following):
     Birth Certificate, Certificate of Citizenship, Secure Certificate of Indian Status, Court Order, Canadian Passport, PR Card, Canada Immigration Documents, or another Government-issued document
  • Proof of Parent/Guardian’s Citizenship (one of the following):
     Birth Certificate, Certificate of Citizenship, Certificate of Indian Status, Canada Immigration Documents, Passport, PR Card (or confirmation of Permanent Residency), or Nexus card with citizenship listed as Canadian
  • Proof of Parent/Guardian’s Residence (name and address must match the registration form):
    One of:
     Subject-Free Home Purchase Contract, Mortgage Statement, Municipal Tax Bill, or Rental Agreement/Letter from Landlord
    And one of:
     BC Driver’s License, BC Services Card, BC Vehicle Registration, BCID, Canadian Bank Account or Credit Card Statement, Insurance Statements or Policies, Income Tax Statement, Utility Bill, Employment Pay Slip, or other legal or government-issued documents indicating BC residence
  • Proof of Guardianship of Child (one of the following):
    Birth Certificate with parent name, Income Tax Statement – children are declared, Immigration Documents, Court Order, Child in Care documentation
  • Most current Report Card from last school
  • Completed District Registration Form:  Student Registration Form (for cross-boundary or new French Immersion only)
  • A signed cross-boundary form for out-of-catchment students Cross Boundary Request Form

In-catchment registrations will be processed starting in late February and early March. Please be sure to check your email for any follow up steps needed to complete the registration. Families will receive an acceptance email once their registration is complete and has been reviewed and accepted. Our counselling department will reach out with next steps for choosing courses. Cross-boundary students will be added to the out-of-catchment waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis starting on January 5, 2026. Out-of-catchment registrants will not be contacted before early July and should register online in MyED BC with their designated catchment school. Please note that acceptance for the 2026–27 school year cannot be guaranteed for out-of-catchment students. 

Parents who are new to the Langley School District and NOT Canadian citizens (PR card, refugee status, claimant refugee status and Work/Study Permit) are all required to register in person through the Langley School Board office at any time of the year.
