Welcome to Simonds Elementary and U-Connect!

It is a privilege to  serve as Principal of both school communities, and I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for our students, staff, and families. Whether your child is joining us for the first time, beginning their learning journey in StrongStart, or entering their final year of secondary school, we look forward to supporting them as they learn, grow, and thrive. Our work will be guided by the Langley School District's pillars of Integrity, Excellence, Courage, and Community.

At Simonds Elementary and U-Connect K-8, we will continue to strengthen literacy and numeracy while creating meaningful opportunities for students to grow socially and emotionally. We want every student to feel a strong sense of belonging and connection to their school. Together, we will build a caring community where students are encouraged to demonstrate integrity in their actions, strive for excellence in their learning, and show courage as they take on new challenges.

At U-Connect Secondary, we remain committed to providing flexible and personalized learning pathways that support student voice, choice, and agency. An important part of success in our program is the development of strong learning habits both at school and at home. We encourage students to take ownership of their learning, demonstrate perseverance, and make the most of the opportunities available to them. We are especially excited to support our graduating class as they work toward achieving their goals and preparing for life beyond secondary school.

Strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. I encourage families to stay connected, participate in school events, volunteer when possible, and consider becoming involved with our PACs. When schools and families work together, we create the conditions for students to flourish.

I am grateful to be part of these incredible learning communities and look forward to a year filled with growth, achievement, connection, and celebration. Thank you for your continued support.
