FAQ's U-Connect's Online Program - GRADES 10-12 ONLY - Langley School District Students ONLY

  • Enrollment requirements and deadlines

You are welcome to apply to the school after we open for the fall (Tuesday, August 25th ) but please be aware that we don't do online orientations until September 16th as we need that first week to orient our blended students. All online courses need to be completed by June 14th 2027

  • Available Online courses

See our online course list for the 2026-2027 school year. Students are welcome to take any electives despite the grade level (so a grade 10 student can take a grade 11 or 12 elective if they wish).

  • Program structure and expectations

Our students start with two classes. Once they have completed 50% of one class, they can add a third and then as each course is 50% completed, they can add until they reach 4 courses. Typically, students only take 4 courses at a time but can work as fast/slow as they want so can easily complete 7 to 8 courses in a school year if they are focused and committed to the time needed.

  • Graduation and credit options

As we are part of the Langley School District, our courses follow the Ministry of Education curriculum, and our students earn a Dogwood just as any student in a brick-and-mortar school. Our students go on to post-secondary schools across the country in a myriad different programs.

  • Support available for students learning from home

Our curriculum is completely online, and students are only required to attend campus to write tests. Our teachers are available via teams messaging for assistance. Our teachers are typically part-time, so the response may not be immediate. We also offer open tutorials every second Wednesday. Students can attend campus and work in the HUB with teachers present to assist with any questions.

  • Whether the program would be suitable for a student who may be considering a trade in future.

We don't offer trades classes but have WAVE (Work and Volunteer) and Work in Trades (youth apprentices) that can sometimes work for students. What works well for students in our program is the flexibility. By having daytime hours available (thereby doing their homework at night), they often find they are more successful in finding part-time employment if they wish.
