How Do I Apply for the EDSS Pre-IB Honours Program?

Online Application for the EDSS Pre-IB Honours for grade 9 and 10 opens January 7, 2026 and closes January 31, 2026. There will be an information evening at RE Mountain Secondary School in January for all those interested in the either the EDSS or REMSS Pre-IB programs (DATE TBA).

The Pre-IB Program is available in Grade 9 and 10 and is excellent preparation for the EDSS Advanced Placement (AP Program) or REMSS IB Diploma Programme that begins in Grade 11.

Grade 9 Pre-IB Criteria:

1. Resident of Langley—additional proof of residence may be required for Pre-IB at EDSS. To be part of the Pre-IB program at EDSS, students must be either in the EDSS catchment, or request a cross-boundary to the school. RE Mountain Secondary will also have a pre-IB Program.
2. Completion of online application (open from January 7–January 31, 2027)
3. Teacher Recommendation – Name and email of the homeroom teacher to be entered into online application form. You DO NOT need a reference letter from your teacher. Please do not ask them for one as we will not accept it.
4. Term 1 Report Card – for students who attend Yorkson Creek or Peter Ewart, a copy of these report cards is not required. For those attending out of catchment schools, please email your report card to remssib@sd35.bc.ca

The EDSS Pre-IB Honours and REMSS Pre-IB 10 program is competitive, and we aim to do our final selection by April. You will receive notification of final placement decisions through email.
