Student Council
Aldergrove Community Secondary School student council is made up of both elected and appointed representatives and strives to make ACSS a more fun, inclusive, and inviting place by organizing a wide variety of events that focus on improving the student culture and community. Student Council aims to equitably represent the interests and diverse perspectives of all students in our school and includes the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Grade 9-12 Representatives, Diversity Representative, Indigenous Representative, GSA Representative, ISP Representative, and ELL Representative.
Student Council works closely with all leadership groups in the school providing assistance and coordinating event schedules. Student Council is specifically responsible for overseeing key traditional events throughout the school year, as well as planning new events based on current student requests and interest.

How to Get Involved
Be part of Student Council Executive: All grade reps for Student Council are elected into their position during the annual elections in June - consider running next year!.
If you have an idea for a school initiative, event, or opportunity that you feel would be good for our school, you are encouraged to talk to your grade rep and have it brought to the Council’s attention. We love new ideas!
Join a committee: All students are welcome to join Committees and help run key events
Spirit committee: plan Theme days and community building events: Tuesday at lunch - room 206
Social Media Committee: create advertising social media posts and help with daily announcements: Tuesday at lunch - room 206
Event committees (ex. Dance committee, or Halloween committee) will run for the month prior to the event - listen to announcements for when to join
