Absences & Signing Out

If your child is going to be absent or arriving late, please let the school know.

We encourage you to call the school before 8:00 am to leave a message 604-532-1444 or email  JDEAttendance@sd35.bc.ca We experience a higher volume of calls between 8:00 and 9:00 am.

Please do not email Ms. Davies , if she is absent, the school will not get the message.

Students who are late (arriving after 8:50) need to check in at the office before going to class.

We require the following information

• Students First and Last Name
• Grade
• Division
• Length of absence
• Reason (illness, late, appointment, vacation)

In fairness to all, please do not send your child to school if they are sick. We have neither the facilities nor the personnel to care for sick children.  Our policy is to send students who are sick, home as soon as possible.

Moving/Withdrawing – PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE YOU MOVING

Parents are asked to inform the school as soon as possible if/when they know that their children will be leaving our school or not returning in the fall.
