Absences and Lates

If your child is going to be absent, arriving late, away or leaving early due to an appointment, please notify the school of your child’s absence by doing either of the following (please note:  we experience a higher volume of calls between 8:00 and 9:00 am, 11:00 and 12:00pm and 2:00 and 2:30pm)

  1. E-mail:  ycmsattendance@sd35.bc.ca  or  
  2. Call 604-888-8065 and follow the prompts for the attendance line and leave a message with information including: 
  • Student First Name and Last Name
  • Grade
  • Division
  • Length of Absence
  • Reason (illness, late, appointment, vacation)
     

Dismissals

If your child will be leaving early, please email:  ycmsattendance@sd35.bc.ca including your child’s teacher with the above information.  Your child can then come to office and be ready for when you sign & pick them up.

 

Student Missing Extended School Time

Please complete the Student Missig School Time Form, if your child will be away from school for an extended vacation, or a family leave (more than 2 weeks away).

Due to the ongoing enrollment pressures across the Langley School District, the District is unable to guarantee spots for students who choose to take an extended leave from their school. 

 

Moving/Withdrawing – PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE YOU MOVING

We ask the you please inform the school as soon as possible if/when your child will be leaving our school or not returning in the fall.
