Message from Ms. Dotto:
I am excited to announce that, following our Performing Arts BC win, choir is back at Willoughby Elementary for Fall 2025! Choir is open to all students in Grades 4 & 5 and Mature Grade 3 Students. This extra-curricular activity allows students to further their musical understanding by singing in a large ensemble. No previous experience is required to join.
The students will participate in one rehearsal a week and will have performance opportunities. Students will also have the coice of joining our Festival Choir, which will increase rehearsals to two days a week, starting in October.
Choir rehearsals are scheduled every Wednesday from 2:45-3:30pm in the music room (room 21). Students are expected to commit to one full term in choir if joining, and the full year if they are expecting to participate in Festival. Any absences must be communicated directly with Ms. Dotto via email. If your child does not attend most rehearsals, they will not be able to participate in the performances.
All students in choir will be expected to pack their bag and bring it with them to choir rehearsal after school and will not be permitted to wander the halls or return to their classroom after rehearsal. We are asking parents and guardians to please pickup your student from the side door outside the music room
