Principal’s Message

Welcome to Fort Langley Elementary — the proud home of the Hawks!
As Principal, I am thrilled to welcome you to a school community that is deeply rooted in care, connection, and growth. At Fort Langley Elementary, we believe in nurturing the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally — while fostering a sense of belonging for every student, staff member, and family.
I have had the privilege of serving as Principal at Fort Langley Elementary for just over three years. This school holds a special place in my heart, not only because of my current role, but also because I was once a student here myself. Adding to that legacy, my mother taught primary grades at Fort Langley Elementary for many years, instilling a love of learning in countless children. We also take great pride in our school's strong support for the Terry Fox Foundation. Each year, our community comes together with enthusiasm and generosity, and we are proud to be recognized as one of the top fundraising schools in the province.
Our school is located in the heart of historic Fort Langley, near the Kwantlen First Nation Territory, and we are proud to be part of the DW Poppy family of schools. With 291 students from Kindergarten to Grade 7, our school is a vibrant place where learning is enriched by strong relationships, inclusive practices, and innovative programs.
We are also proud of our LEAP Outdoor Education Program, which offers students hands-on learning experiences in nature, and our ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, including Indigenous language learning and cultural celebrations.
At Fort Langley Elementary, we celebrate leadership, creativity, and school spirit. Whether it’s through student council, intramurals, the Principal’s Cup, or our annual Fort’s Got Talent, we are creating opportunities for students to shine and feel connected to their school.
Warm regards,
Logan Kitteringham
