Equestrian Academy to call Brookswood home

The District’s new Equestrian Academy will be located at Brookswood Secondary. Principal Marcello Moino says they are looking forward to welcoming the new students to the BSS community and noted that “with the geographical and social connections to Langley’s horse community, Brookswood is a natural choice for this Academy”. The ‘school within a school’ will allow those students enrolled in the academy to travel and compete while maintaining their studies. Coupled with online/distance ed. coursework, the students will also have a permanent home in the form of a science classroom at BSS – a science room makes sense as many students require the equipment for their experiments that can’t be completed online.
