What a Fantastic Evening! 🎉
A huge thank you to everyone who made our Meet the Teacher/Welcome BBQ such a memorable success!
To our incredible staff—thank you for staying late to warmly welcome families and help build those important connections. Your dedication truly sets the tone for a great year ahead!
To our amazing parent volunteers—we couldn’t have done it without you! From setting up, running the concession, serving hotdogs, and even making last-minute store runs for more supplies, your support was outstanding.
Special thanks to Miss Hall and Mrs. Lipp for jumping in to help serve hotdogs with smiles and energy!
And of course, a big shoutout to our talented entertainers—Alexander Park, Kurtis Cline, and Ms. Liatopoulos—for bringing joy and music to the evening. You helped create such a welcoming and festive atmosphere.
It was truly a wonderful evening filled with laughter, connection, and community spirit. Here's to a fantastic year of community events!

Today's Truth and Reconciliation Assembly - We felt immense pride as we listened to students speak with honesty and courage about the importance of relationships, taking action, learning the truth of Canadian history, and leading by example. Their voices were inspiring and filled with purpose.
Our Grade 6 and 7 students set a beautiful tone for the assembly through their quiet strength and respectful presence. Throughout the event, students across all grades demonstrated deep listening and heartfelt respect, creating a space of reflection and unity. Students from Mrs. Bonetti's class read the story, Phyllis's Orange Shirt and the students in Mrs. Reyes's class read the poem, I Lost My Talk, by Rita Jo.
The final song was incredibly moving. Hearing our entire school sing in various languages was a moment of beauty and connection that will stay with us.
Well done, Dorothy Peacock! Your compassion, leadership, and commitment to truth and reconciliation shone brightly today.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Langley Event - As part of the District’s Truth and Reconciliation journey, we encourage our students, staff, and families to observe the day in their own way. Community partners in Langley are welcoming all members of the community to attend a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event at the Derek Doubleday Arboretum on the evening of September 30th.
We have run into some accounting logistics. Moving forward, we will be charging a one-time athletic fee of $5 for students participating in Cross-country, Volleyball, or Basketball. This fee helps cover the cost of registrations, maintaining and replacing jerseys, and student referees. Season celebrations/pizza parties will be separate and information will be sent out with the permission forms once the season has ended. Once your child has been added to a roster, you will be able to make a payment on School Cash Online.
Cross Country Races - All meets will take place at the Aldergrove Bowl - 685 Lefeuvre Road, Aldergrove. All meets start at 3 pm.
