These databases are available for use by all school district students and staff.

You will be logged-in automatically from any school computer.  For home use you will require a user name and password.  These are available from your office or library staff, or contact mrichardson@sd35.bc.ca

 The Encyclopedia of British Columbia has many different interactive sections.  Suitable for Intermediate and above.

 

 

Gale eBooks, including: Art & Humanities, Alternative Energy, Ancient Civilizations, 21st Century Writers, Canadian Parliamentary Guide, Drugs and Addictive Substances, Animal Life, Industrial Revolution, Canadian Provinces, Nutrition, Governments of the World, and the History of Ideas,
   CPI.Q (Canadian Periodicals Index Quarterly) is a database of more than 1300 Canadian periodicals in English and French.

The Youth Encyclopedia of Canada is a part of the Canadian Encyclopedia is suitable for Elementary and Middle School students.

 

The Encyclopedia of Music in Canada describes the full breadth and depth of Canada’s musical culture, including the historical and current aspects of popular, folk, religious, concert and other forms of music. 

 

A selection of articles since 1995 from Maclean’s magazine enhances the contemporary coverage of politics and the arts on The Canadian Encyclopedia website.
