The Human Resources Department strives to recruit and retain quality employees to ensure the best educational opportunities for students in the
School District is known for:
a mixture of urban, inner city and smaller rural schools
schools of choice, including a grade 1-12 fine arts school, a K-5 fine arts school, an elementary demonstration school, alternate secondary schools and programs, and fundamental elementary and middle/secondary schools
programs of choice including elementary and secondary immersion programs in French, an elementary Japanese as a Second Language program, and a secondary International Baccalaureate program
a variety of Career Preparation Programs across the district
a thriving Aboriginal program
a very successful International Students program
